Bevestig de haken aan stevige ankerpunten, leg de band strak over of langs de lading en span deze aan met de ratel totdat de lading stabiel vastzit. Zorg dat de spanband niet is gedraaid, niet langs scherpe randen loopt en dat deLC-waarde (lashing capacity)voldoende is voor het gewicht van de lading.
Open de ratel volledig door deze helemaal omhoog te klappen totdat de vergrendeling vrijkomt. Trek vervolgens de spanband uit de ratel en haal de haken los van de ankerpunten. Zorg dat er geen spanning meer op de band staat voordat je deze loshaalt om terugslag of letsel te voorkomen.
